[Vm...]
So I just called Roche Pharmaceuticals, the company that produces/makes Klonopin. I explained to them that I am going to be tapering off Klonopin and wanted some advice. They WOULD NOT help me and could care less when I told them some of the discontinuation effects that klonopin has on people. They told me it was out of their control and they also could not help with a taper plan. I explained to them that my doctor did give me a taper plan that was a little too rapid for me in the past and I am preparing and I just wanted a second opinion before I started my taper. I told them I was calling them for a second opinion since they make the pills and know how the pills are chemically produced. The answer was exactly as the "I'M SORRY, WE CANNOT HELP YOU". Anyway, if I ever doubted benzobuddies in the past, now I really don't. You were all right from the beginning. Doctor's pharmaceutical companies and all the rest of them are completely helpless and useless. I guess it is up to us to be our own doctors and just help our selves and hope for the best. Sorry, I just needed to vent. ROCHE PHARMACEUTICALS are pure evil!!!!!!
[be...]
I did the same and got the same. Until I told the head psych there that I was a reporter and was going to write a nasty article about them. Then they listened to me. Aaah, the power of the press. Pfizer is even worse.
[Vm...]
I will try again in a few days and maybe get someone else. Once I am off all of this poison, I am taking it to the press! pharmaceutical companies NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!! Thankfully I am getting off my Risperdal with minimal issues. I want to discontinue it first before the klonopin taper. I called some local pharmacists in my area. They were very nice but did recommend a pretty rapid taper for me. They were understanding of my concern with seizures and reassured me the chance is very low. I may just say the hell with it and take a chance with a rapid taper. I am currently on a half a milligram of klonopin, which I split and take .25 in the morning and .25 at night. They told me to eliminate the morning dose completely for the first taper and then gradually reduce it every few days from there. What do I have to loose? I would rather have it quick and painful than drawn out and painful! At least I will be off benzos forever. I am tired of this! I am in law school right now and don't need this aggrevation. I went on this crap for mild anxiety and its more trouble than it is worth!
[do...]
Wow! Good on you! Thank you for doing that. It's a start in the right direction - regardless of their shite answer. I have a massive chip on my shoulder and will spend the rest of my days trying to take these companies/people down. I just need to get well first
[xe...]
Don't blame Roche, they are not able to give personal medical advice to end users, they could get sued hard by an end-user or the government.
[li...]
@[xe...] I just asked them a rather innocent question and got a response along the line 'we cannot answer questions about off label use'. Not their fault.

I have a massive chip on my shoulder and will spend the rest of my days trying to take these companies/people down. I just need to get well first It's not right what they do at all. Once I am fully functioning again without these meds, I am going to get my message across somehow that what they do is not right. Just for your own head, I would not spend the rest of your days trying to take them down because we all know that will not happen. All we can do is make a statement and have a voice! I wish you the best of luck in your recovery and all the best
[Ka...]
Don't blame Roche, they are not able to give personal medical advice to end users, they could get sued hard by an end-user or the government. They could get the pants sued off them for even hinting at how to taper, they are not physicians. You probably just spoke to a reception also. Blaming them is like shooting the messenger. No one in authority usually answers the phones anyhow.
