feeling like im going to snap in conversation

I notice if i sit and talk with someone longer than a half hour i start feeling like im just going to snap. Obviously im sure nothing happens when i hit that snapping point but it is still scary. I received a link about unwanted thoughts like this that has helped me a lot in accepting them. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this feeling when talking with someone? Last time i was talking to my counselor i pictured my self getting up and basically flailing at the wall with my fists for no reason, made me want to run for the door but i toughed it till the end of the appointment. The imagery is pretty silly now looking back on it me fighting a wall but at the time it was scary as hell. Made me get that jump start of panic.

Thanks everyone for the support

You are all keeping me sane or at least sane enough to get through this :idiot:

I think this happens to a lot of us. I think it has to do with over stimulation of the brain. When someone is talking, it's incoming stimuli and (sometimes) it's just too much to process. I have to lay down in a dark, quiet area until it passes.

It's a wonderful feeling, no?  :P

Hang in there!

God yes u get this so much. It's my scariest symptom- intrusive thoughts. I've been telling myself "this is an obsessive intrusive thought, it's a normal wd symptom." Everytime I have them.

Mine can be exactly like you describe to sometimes being a little worse or a little more visual.

I have been reassured many many times that this is normal and it will pass. Part of me believes it while another part tells me I will be the first one to snap. For the record I have not.
