Staying in bed

[...]

Recommended Posts

I have no desire to get out of bed.  Just took 50 mg Benadryl to make me drowsy.  2 nd dose today.  Always stayed in bed when depressed.  Went to a bbq across the street yesterday enjoyed it but left early. Haven't driven in almost a month because I shake and not focused.  Now on Ativan 1.4 mg was on 2 mg at bed for about 25 years.  I go to group therapy lately.  Developed a tolerance after years and have been sleeping 2 hours a night for about 2 months.  Today I am not as anxious as yesterday.  I break a little off the Ativan and halves.  Do you think I can get off this in 6 months?  Everything was fine on it at bed for years then it just blew up on me.  Worried about the future. Lost about 15 or 20 pounds in 2 months.  Pants falling off me.  Have OCD too.  I do feel

better when I get out of bed but no

desire.  Any suggestions?

Maybe you should not take Benadryl during the day? I give myself a break. I wake up and want to go back to bed, even though I have slept 9-10 hours. Then I set the alarm for a half hour, and when that rings, I force myself to get out of bed. One you get up and move around, I think you will have more energy. Good luck, as I know those days!

Yes you can definitely get off the A in 6 months but I don't think you should be taking the Benefryl during the day.  Getting off this stuff gives us sxs and you have to face that if you wan off.  I think you are just substituting one thing for another.

AB you can do it. No Benadryl in the day. In my PM I told you I often want to stay in bed but the more active you can be, unless really sick, the better. One foot in front of the other. When I feel like you are I often think of Terry Fox. He just kept going literally until he died so young of that dreadful cancer. But he made a legacy to behold not to mention he still lives on with millions of people running now in his name to stop that dreaded disease. So if you can walk, talk and breathe go for it. You'll be a champion in your own right even if only you know it. Doesn't matter. You'll be benzo free and I'm not underestimating your pain at all. It hurts. Badly at times. Baby steps. I'm cheering you on. :smitten: :smitten: B
