Will I be ok?

Hi everybody, so I've been on Xanax 0,5mg 3 times a day for 8 months and I recently asked  my GP to switch me to Valium, I'm currently on day 2 of taking Valium and I'm taking 20mg in the morning and 10 mg at night, so far so good, I didn't do a cross taper though. Now my question is: will I be fine if I start from stage 6 as seen on http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzsched.htm#s2

I would wait two weeks to make sure the Valium has 'settled in' before starting to taper, especially since it was a direct crossover.  Valium takes about that long to fully build up in your system.  Once you do start tapering, I think I would stick with the 2 weeks of holding before making another cut for the same reason... withdrawal symptoms can take two weeks to show up because V is so long acting.
