Is Flexeril/cyclobenzaprine ok in withdrawal?

Hi, I would just like to hear others experiences with flexeril during withdrawal. I reacted terribly to gabapentin so I am being super careful with meds.

Any meds that you take while in your wd have the potential to cause adverse reactions. Some people are okay taking meds or supplements, but many feel worse especially early on in wd.

I took it for a TMJ issue.

 

It's a mild skeletal muscle relaxant. May cause drowsiness, dry mouth, etc.

 

Gabapentin works on the GABA system, which A LOT of people react adversely to.

 

Flexeril shouldn't react in that way, but as rj9 said, there's always potential...

 

If your doc knows, I'd at least try what he/she has prescribed.

I have taken 5 mgs of flexeril occasionally. (I simply use a pill cutter to half a 10 mg tablet .)

I have had NO negative reaction to it. If anything....taken at bedtime, it helps me sleep.

Don't think trying 1 or 2 is going to hurt you.

Hey, I am just keen to know, how did you each terribly to gabapentin ? I was just thinking of taking it

Claire- the gabapentin caused a massive increase in symptoms. It stirred up my withdrawal to acute level intensity.
