[Tj...]
I'm a 216lb weight lifting and mountain biker. And have been tapering off clonazepam since 4/1 after taking it for 23 years 3mg a day. Thanks to the VA they like give Vets lots of drugs for PTSD. I can go to work and do my job. But I'm exhausted after work and can barely get up in the morning. I will start my workouts next week no matter how I feel. I use to train like a mad man. Now I just feel week and exhausted. I'm still strong. I came up on a motorcycle wreck that was really bad and lifted the Harley off the couple that got life flighted.
[...]
It's normal withdrawal, don't over do it. You need to rest your body to allow it to heal. God bless you.
[Tj...]
Thanks. I will give myself plenty of rest. And remember I'm healing from long term use. Jump off date is 09/05/2016. Half way there. No turning back. I will be free.

[Tj...]
Thanks. I will just keep moving forward. Slow and steady. That's why this taper is just a .25 drop every two weeks. Next Friday I will be sitting at 1.75mg a day. .75mg am, .5mg at noon and .5mg at bed. I'm still on oxycarbazepine 450mg a day and bupropion HCl 300 mg a day. I will work on getting off one med at a time. I started with K-Pin first because its the hardest to get off. I hope the other help me taper off. Guest [Gi...]
Hi, I am also tapering from Klonopin.IMHO, you may want to reconsider tapering so quickly.Trust me I want off this stuff as much as you. The recommended taper is .05-.10 every 10-14 days. I started tapering quickly my first month from 2.0 to 1.5 and I thought that I was going to lose it.Withdrawals were crazy. They have gotton slightly better since I slowed down. If you go on the klonpin thread look at the signatures and you will see what I'm talking about. I don't want to see you being kindled by going too quick. It is like ripping a bandaid off of a bad wound.I wish you luck with your withdrawal. It is the toughest fight of your life. Gilster
[su...]
I've been tapering off of 2mg since 1/15. I have a ways to go because I'm doing slow and steady and trying to get down to close to zero per doctor's recommendation. Early in the tapering I had times when I could barely work out - I'd get too hot and shaky and feel weak. That went a way for a long time, but since October, I've noticed a steady decline in my strength and energy. I can't lift as heavy, and my body just aches all the time. Not the good "I'm building muscle" feeling, just like I was beaten with a bat. Everywhere. I took an extra rest day yesterday, and it made a huge difference. But, I did some HIIT tonight and I'm feeling it. Tomorrow is a lifting day, I'll see how it goes. With all the BS that this process has dumped in my life, it's a super bummer to not be able to do as many pushups or squat as heavy. I hate seeing my muscles get smaller and feeling tired. Working out has been a huge part of my self-care and it's not working for me right now. For you (and me) I'll say that this is a phase that will pass, just like it did before, but since I'm so much farther along in the taper, it may take a little longer than before. Maybe don't be as aggressive in the gym, but don't stop going either!
