Guest [Ri...]
About one and a half months ago I began tapering Klonopin from 2mg to 1mg. I was taking 1mg morning and 1mg night. I successfully made it to 1mg at night and I'm stuck in this area. The 1mg at night is to maintain sleep. I want to hold at 1mg for a bit longer before I begin another drop. I do not take it during the day. Is it possible to cut the 1mg and take it through out the day as opposed to only at night? Will it impair my sleeping if I say take 0.5mg morning and 0.5mg eveing? My only concern is any impairment of sleep should I adjust 1mg at night for 0.5mg morning and night.
[ba...]
If you microtaper, you could try taking it 3 times a day, or take .25 in the morning, and .75 at night.
[Di...]
You can take it just once a day, or you could break it up into 2 or 3 times a day. I dose 3 times a day, always have during my taper. 2mg to 1mg is a pretty big drop, if you made that 1mg cut all at once. You might want to think about not making such large cuts going forward, especially the lower you get in your taper.
Guest [Ri...]
I appreciate the response after being on 2mg for 5 years it was difficult the first two to three weeks with the cut to 1mg. Since the third week everything has been good. I know it was a big cut and fast but I'm happy at 1mg as everything has stabilized. I'm staying at the current level before making micro cuts from 1mg. My whole thought was to get to 1mg and micro cut it slowly from there. My hope is that should I cut 1mg to a 0.5mg 2x daily or a 0.25mg 4x daily or 0.25mg morning 0.75mg night wouldn't impair my sleep. I want to somehow make micro cuts from the new cut.
