Stay away from phenibut. You can become dependent in just a few days. It also acts on GABA b so it would most likely put you in a worse place. I've used it so I know.

What about gabapentin or tegretol gabapentin gave me a terrible headache and spaced the first time I took it and my ears rung super loud. Tegretol I forgot do those side effects stop in time

phenibut is the worst garbage you can take. gabapentin I found helpful for sleep at 600mg dosage. no withdrawal symptoms, taken as needed, but used also for weeks at a time.

my take is stay away from all 'gaba' related stuff during taper

I took gabapentin once and I felt a lot worse for about an hour.
