9 months out....an update

Recommended Posts

Hi fellow BB'S  :) I haven't posted in quite a while. I have been doing fairly well with lots of windows and little mini waves. But recently I have had some waves that have lasted a few days at a time. Not happy about it because I've been doing so well. My dr. said it's not possible to be having wd symptoms this far out but we all know better. I have hypothyroidism as well which is mild and I do not take medication for. Here are my recent symptoms. Let me know if any of you are dealing with any of these after so many months off benzos:

Intense feelings of butterflies in abdomen that comes on quickly for no reason

Excess gas and bloating

Head feels full off and on

Weird dreams

Anxiety out of nowhere

Tingling in fingers

Abdomen is sore when I lean against sink. Very strange

Feeling like I can't take deep breath. Comes and goes

Toe cramps

Fatigue

Hip pain

Exercise intolerance

Really stinks to be having longer waves when I haven't experienced long ones at all. Benzos are poison. I had my doctor put in my medical records that I am allergic to all benzos. I will NEVER take them again! Hope everyone here experiences healing soon.

Hello doggiemom! :smitten:

I'm so sorry you are struggling! Everything you mention, I could have written! And a couple more sxs I am experiencing (4 days now).

It is all common and will pass (hopefully soon) for the both of us!

Stay strong!!

Hi Tina

We both have about the same jump date. My last dose was August 13 2015

I was on Lorazepam (generic Ativan). I too have a sore abdomen. But it is also accompanied

By what feels like it wants to cramp up throughout the day. It's uncomfortable. Some days I don't feel it and other days I do. I also have this hypersensitivity kind of mentholated feeling on my scalp throughout the day too. When I'm in a cold room I feel it x 100. It's annoying. I still have tingling on my scalp and ears and this annoying tinnitus in my left ear since jumping off. Overall I'm feeling better but it's these left over sxs that I'm still feeling that make it challenging still. How have you been feeling lately??

I have almost the same exact symptoms but I'm quite far behind you.

I am very curious about your exercise intolerance. Can you please write more about that one and how you experience it??

Thank you so much!

Ang1111 my exercise tolerance takes the firm of feeling anxious when I exercise mostly. And if I do too much in a day I a, exhausted and achy.

Matt it's good to hear from you my friend. Sorry to hear though that you're having symptoms too though. Know how you feel. Thought I was out of the woods too. Hang in there.

Matt

I just got hit with a wave (not as intense as the previous ones),

But my sxs flared. Thought I was doing great too. This just happend this week.

Crazy. I'm feeling unusually fatigued. But I have no choice and need to keep going.

I work full-time and have a family to support. It really has been a challenge for me throughout

This whole WD. Somehow I find the strength to plough thru. We seem to have more or less the same

Jump dates. I still have this annoying tinnitus in my left ear and head sxs that are lingering around.

Some discomfort in my abdomen but I'm functional and doing all the things I need to do. Anyways wishing you good healing my friend. Stay strong.

Hey Tina,

Ya, I'm absolutely dumbfounded! I was doing amazingly well...I would say an 8 out of 10, with many 10 days.  Then Bam!

Now, it's playing tricks with my mind, making me feel like I will never get better. But deep down I know I will.

Hopefully you're better now.

Matt

Hey Ren,

Sorry to hear.. this is the strangest journey ever...I can't wait for the days where this is all really behind me and this will look like it was just a bad nightmare.

But it does seem like many people get hit around the 9th and 10th month... so hopefully this will pass soon.

Hey Matt,

Yes I thought I was getting there finally then bam...some  symptoms  came  back. Today has been good though so I am thankful. We WILL heal. It's  just a matter of time, and having LOTS of patience.....

And I absolutely stink at being patient lol  :D
