[Sa...]
Hi. I have been taking about .4mg (less than half a pill a day) every night for sleep and anxiety. It has helped me with my anxiety and allowed me to even get ahead in many facets of my life. I realize my anxiety hindered me from enjoying so many of my days. I really don't want to stop taking it but I'm getting so bloated and uncomfortable. I'm worried about long term effects too. I'm not sure what to do. I'm about to start a new role at work and really need to be on my game. If I taper off Klonopin than how do I deal with the anxiety again especially during withdrawal period? Thanks, Sandy. [me...]
Welcome to the forum! You'll find plenty of information and support here. Our members have gone through all aspects of withdrawal, and you're likely to find people who understand what you're going through. We suggest a taper rate of about 5-10% every 10-14 days for longer term users. Those of us with anxiety issues do have to learn to use different coping mechanisms, meditation, distraction, and counseling are a few that have helped some here. Here are a few links you may find useful: Withdrawal Support (during your taper) The Ashton Manual is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.
