anyone ever have to raise their klonopin dose to stablilize?

I am back to my original dose of 1.5mg daily of klonopin after a failed taper. it has been 10 days and I have made minor gains back towards stability but my pdoc wants to raise my dose to 2mg to end my anxiety. Now I would like nothing more than to end my anxiety, but taking more of the same stuff that I felt fine on at a lower dose worries me. (plus there are no guarantees). Everyone is different so I have no idea how long it will take to get back to normal at 1.5 mg. Getting tired of dealing with all this as I am sure we all are, but does anyone have some wisdom for me?

Yes, my pdoc was arrested for illegal benzo scripts. They let him continue his practice, but he dumped all his benzo patients and many of us ran out of supplies until we could find an Ashton doc. (That took ten tries for me.) So I had some unintended c/t's and they were hell.

I'd like to see you reconsider raising your dose of clonazepam. I feel your suffering (I am closing in on month 23 of my clonazepam* taper), but raising your dose will increase the difficulty of getting off. And I think you agree that you have to get off, because you can't updose indefinitely for a problem that can be treated without drugs.

Clonazepam is a dead end street. It's also a tough taper. 1.5 clonazepam = 30 mg Valium.

*I crossed to Xanax then Valium. I think it's easier to get off V than clonazepam or Xanax. I personally consider them the two most dangerous benzos because they are better at blinding you to their negative effects than others I tried back in the day.
