SCRABBLE with a scrambled brain!

Hi all, I am about 3/4 through a K taper, which has thankfully been pretty uneventful to date. Of course I have the generic brain fog, auditory issues, trouble word finding, etc. Have kind of gotten used to it as part of old age!!!  but I am happy to say that even given all this, and being in the midst of a taper from this poison I had the highest score in my life the other night in Scrabble, handily beating a brilliant challenger!!!! I was thrilled! Somehow my mind just kind of turned on and rose to the occasion. I was amazed and thrilled! Just wanted to let all you Scrabble players know that there is hope!!! LOL!

Yay, way to go; should definitely give you some justified confidence ! I'm somewhat stunned re: cog function at times, and find writing (which I'm supposed! to do for a living) to be a 'clarifying' exercise i.e. trying to maintain coherence, and be articulate and creative 8). Nice to know our brains can still function well, if not quite all the time ::)!

LOL!!!! No , the dog was no help that evening. However, she is probably smarter than me or any other human in the household!!! She has been great for my healing.

That is awesome!! I love the great attitude!! I play a mental game on my iPad called "Peak" the more I taper the better my scores are becoming.....well most days.

Great Job!!!

I sit in meetings sometimes and feel like I'm half out of it yet I am amazed that I can articulate some thoughts and have a few creative ideas. It is very good to hear that in the midst of this fog somehow our brains are still functioning great post

That's awesome.  Sometimes I think too much about how I can't think straight and let it

scare me off of challenging my brain.  I love doing the daily jumble though and

always eventually seem to solve it.
