Hi. Can anyone please tell me the best way to taper from 2.5mg Valium and is it a high dose? Thanks in advance

Its not a very high dose, the suggested taper rate is between 5-10% every 10-14 days.  Its very hard to cut pills at the low doses.  My reductions at this point were not accurate at all but you can get liquid diazepam, I wasn't aware of this during my taper,  it does enable you to go very slow.

No you are not in danger, how are you feeling?  If your finding it very tough, you could ask the doctor about liquid

I'm feeling the same as I did in march on 4mg. Functional and physically fit but my mind struggles. Confusion, anxiety, derealization which comes and goes. I'm worried the cuts will catch up

You have done a great job so far, well done to you.  If your concerned then why not have a look at titration.  You could slow it down, I wish I had known about it.  I used a razor to shave my pill    it was awful but I got through it.

I been using a kitchen knife lol its pretty accurate to get half mg cuts. Is my dose generally considered safe from seizure? Thanks

Please don't stop cold turkey, I am sure the doctor wont pull the plug, If he does find another doctor.  You have done a great job so far, Just keep doing what your doing.  Don't rush it now, if symptoms get rough think about titration.

If you are struggling, then I would suggest Liquid Valium but if as you say your doctor will only give you pills then you could try the titration method,

Hi cash! I had my dr rx 2mg and 5mg pills and I just mix and match to cut .25mg each time, and I HOLD 5 weeks btw cuts. Im not having many sxs at all, going smoothly. To get to 2.25mg from 2.5mg, just cut the 5mg into 4 pieces and each piece is 1.25mg, cut the 2 mg in 2, and you have 1mg...so, 1.25mg+1mg=2.25mg. Good luck.
