[Kl...]
I only had a total of 10 tabs over 9 days (across a 19 day window). I've had my fair share of symptoms already....and feel good physically. I just need to sleep better tonight and the anxieties need to disappear this week. possible? I have to start a new job by May 9th. If not, I need to get rid of this anxiety and feel good for my job. What is the best way to re-instate my Klonopin so i feel normal again? Please advise... Day 1 = .5 mg Day 2 - .5 mg Day 3 - .5 mg Day 4 = .5 mg Day 5 - .5 mg Day 6 - .5 mg Day 15 = .5 mg Day 17 = .5 mg Day 19 =.5 mg plus .5 mg Cold Turkey! Guest [ba...]
The best way to reinstate is to not. Normal is how you feel right now. Being anxious about a new job is normal. Yeah, it can adversely affect your sleep, but if you will accept it for what it is, this anxiety will go away all by itself. Maybe a desire to feel good all the time is also normal, but it's a potentially harmful path that you may live to regret in a very big way. Go have a beer or go get some exercise. Don't do what you're thinking of doing.
[Kl...]
Thanks but how much longer will i be in withdrawal from the dose i took recently ? It's been 14 days from my last dosage...
Guest [ba...]
How do you know you're still in withdrawal versus feeling anxious simply because you're anxious?? You didn't take very much klonopin, nor did you take it for very long. Very few people experience significant withdrawal from such a short, low dose. There are exceptions - You could be very sensitive to klonopin, but I would think that would be another reason to never take a benzo ever again. I still think you would be much better served by going out for a long run. This is a forum full of people who regret taking these stupid pills and have had to learn their lesson with great difficulty. Don't do what we did. [sh...]
If you are still in withdrawal from such short term use that should be a red flag to you that you may well be hypersensitive to these drugs. For me it took many years of use for them to turn in me. You might easily ruin your new job by your klonopin use and your reaction to it. Or maybe not. In your shoes, I would proceed with great caution.
[Kl...]
I know i'm in withdrawal because i'm having all the classic withdrawal symptoms...insomnia...hypic jerks, burning sensations, nightmares, vivid dreams...and over blown anxiety...every day brings new symptoms...and no symptom repeats itself except for the anxiety...but i'm hoping they will all stop soon..does this mean the anxiety is my own? [Cr...]
Those are also symptoms of anxiety itself. You have to choose your next move, but make very sure you understand what kindling is before you go back on the meds.
[Ke...]
I vote don't do it..... Face your fears... You still have two weeks before your job starts.... Symptoms should settle down. I will be in the same boat. I can tell you... Not working because of detoxing is worse than facing your fears. The first day at work is always the hardest and then you will get in the groove. Good luck but keep us posted and we won't judge whatever you decide. K
[Lo...]
- Is this your first time taking any benzodiazepine (Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium)? - Any alcohol or other substance use? - Are you taking any antidepressants or other psych meds - Have you had any recent trauma in your life? - Are you currently working? Is staying at your current job an option? I went once for a "dream job" and got thoroughly burned, and benzos were not even in the picture yet.... - What's your support system? (family, friends). - Can you afford not to work for a short period of time until you stabilize??? Klonopin is very potent and has a long life, so it's not meant to be taken daily or for years. I don't think those pills are bad per se. They have their place, but it's something to be used maybe 2 or 3 times a year and definitely not daily or for years like we did... [Cl...]
No No No, please do not go back, clonazepam is a terrible drug. Try to exercise, beers, meditation, relaxing you tube videos. Once your work starts you are going to feel much better, this is anticipatory anxiety, I have it, it stops when the stressful event starts, then I feel great. [sh...]
Totally agree with clona. It stops once you get into what you are anticipating and it can morph into positive motivation and actually feel good. Good luck with that new job. My spider sense tells me you are going to love it.
