Should I be tapering?

I know this is one of those "follow your body's lead" type questions, but I figured I'd ask those who've been here a while. See if anyone's experienced this.

 

For the 6+ years I'd been taking Clonazapan I've never dosed more than maybe .25mg a day.  That would be at my worst.  I'd take one and it would last me a while.  A couple days, with maybe a .125mg dose here and there.  When I was bad off, it'd always only be .125 in the morning and /125 in the evening.

 

When things.. "crashed" for me a couple months back I was almost hitting the 1mg mark daily.  That's when the bad side effects started happening.

 

So fast forward to now.  I'm very in tune with my body (which is part of my anxiety, but that's another story).  What I'm noticing is that I always feel "worse off" for the first hour or two I take my dose.  Some small side effects a little while later, but by the time it's almost time for my next dose, I'm actually feeling ok for the most part. 

 

What I'm wondering is if my body's basically telling me i'm at too high a level?  Honestly wondering if I should go back to my old routine of a little bit when I feel I need it. And once that settles, kick it all together.

 

Just curious.  Thoughts?

Raz, IMHO if you don`t feel you need a dose skip it and go from there your not on a high dose in my opinion anyway so ... if it makes you feel worse don`t take it right? Now just my opinion ok !

If I were you i would post your question over on the klonopin thread thats listed under support groups..thats where me and alot of people are at..and you would get lots of help there and answers also..just a suggestion.
