Hey everyone,

So ive been on 1mg xanax a day for maybe 9 weeks. Im wondering if it makes any sense to swith to klonopin to taper? Im just so scared to taper. Ive quit xanax ct once, didnt work. Got on K shortly after, Ive tapered off K before and wasn't too bad but definitely sucked!  I feel different about xanax. Feels like its going to be much harder.Thoughts?

I would think the K would be a bit easier to taper due to it's longer half life. Both these are potent benzos. My wife was on Ativan (another "badboy" benzo) up til this time last year when she was switched to Valium. She felt like the V did nothing compared to the Ativan.

 

Don't know, it may be easier to just taper directly from the Xanax rather than going through the switch over.

You could give the xanax a try and see how it goes.  You can cross at any time if you are not satisfied.

Thx all I know everyone is different when it comes to wd...but does anyone have an idea of how long it generally takes to heal after jumping? Would the fact that its only been 9 weeks makes a difference vs several years?
