Took my last pill

so I was on temazepam for 3 years, i have done an EXTREMELY slow taper (Over the course of about a year or more) and I tapered all the way down to .2 mg's -- took my last pill (of 30) last night, and just want to be sure that it should be "safe" to jump from .2 mgs of the temazepam. I would think there would be hardley ANY active ingredience left in the .2 mg capsules as it , however I have struggled a bit with insomnia for the past few weeks. i guess im just overly nervous that I wont be taking ANYTHING, taking even the smallest dose some how made me feel "safe" and believe I wouldnt feel any withdrawal effects... Thanks in advance!

Good going! Now you won't have to be a slave to drugs or doctors. If it were me, I would dump the rest out so the temptation is gone. But that's just me and that's what I plan to do.     Bets

You should be really proud of yourself. It sounds like you are doing well. Some insomnia should be expected. Just think you are getting closer and closer to being healed. I wish you the best of luck!

hi miss sarah you look so pretty in your picture !

congradulations on your taper off , i quit xanax 4 months . if i felt bad withdrawals i just went for a walk i had a window that lasted hours from just walking 10 minutes i wanted to say that to you to give you a heads up on what helped me i strongly suggest that you avoid excess sugar that triggers withdrawals for me :( smoking cigarettes does that to me too

sarah, congratulations on jumping! :yippee:

I think insomnia is a symptom that many people continue to suffer from even after jumping.  But you did it!  YAY YOU!  I think you should reward yourself somehow, do something that makes you feel good, whether that's getting a massage, or treating yourself to a night out at a nice restaurant, or a new dress, or a pair of boots, whatever.  Do something that's just for you, to say hey, I did this!  You deserve it!

Namaste.

Words can't describe how much I hate insomnia. It seems to be the first symptom to come and the last to go. Hang in there, sending positive thoughts and prayers your way!

hi miss sarah have you tried melatonin before ?? that helped me alot in my first month after quitting xanax for me melatonin from walgreens worked best it has vitamin b6 added to it to prolong sleep its a high 10mg i cut one into 4 pieces . try to avoid excess light 2-3 hours before bedtime being esposed to too much light makes our body not adjust for sleep if you can try to have a nappy in the daytime im about to have one since i wake up at 5am-6am all together with my night sleep and nappy i sleep 7-9 hours . i use another sleep aid from the dollar tree called "relax and sleep" it contains 75mg valerian , melatonin & chamomlle i was hesitant using it at first from it having valerian i was ok with it i just waited around a week after i quit then 2 weeks i took 450mg valerian root capsules . just dont try the valerian if your taking any other medications it reacts to it in a bad way i hope this helps you and try to activate and exercise as much as possible that eezzed withdrawals for me alot in my first 2 months when it was the worst

ughh i have been falling asleep around 11 every night, but then im up for good anywhere between 1:30am and 3am! its the WORST, i literally cant even bear it. im sooo exhausted but i still cant sleep, ill be lying in my bed feeling super drowsy but then i feel this rush of anxiety, or i cant help but focus on "little noises" in my room that irritate me to an extent i cant even begin to describe (my fan is not loud enough, then its too loud, then i hear my husband breathing, or a window thats rattling, or ill hear my cat) i cant seem to ignore and let these little things do. ill just lay in the silence and if i hear even the slightest sound I start getting irritable and worked up and then im unable to sleep. ughhhh and no i havent done meletonin because I have epilepsy and my neurologist told me it would not be a good option for me- I have however been doing the advil PM- but even those I feel dont work for me anymore since ive been using them for about a month straight :(

Same here! Sometimes when I can't sleep all night I lay there and said, God, just kill me and be done with it already. And now, each time I make a cut it just gets worse and worse. It never levels out. This will probably end up being the old me, which got me here in the first place. :'( Bets
