I am so afraid this will never get better: the insomnia, the emotional numbness, the head pressure. I feel like there is no hope for the future.

The only thing that seems to have gotten better recently is the circling and cracking at the base of my skull/neck.

There's always hope.  Never give up on that.  I'm guessing that if you slept a little better that your outlook would improve greatly.  How did you sleep last night?  What did you take?

I still have that circling/cracking.  It's kind of weird, but doesn't bother me.  Together with my tinnitus, it's become part of a small symphony that constantly entertains me.

I meant cricking/cracking, (darn auto correct). My neck made a lot of noises when I would turn my head--these cracking sounds that I never had before.

Didn't sleep last night. The 200mg Gabapentin and 50mg Benadryl worked night before last, but not last night.

Can't believe when I got off benzos six years ago I was 100% healed in two and a half months. I had different symptoms last time: anxiety, severe muscle aches, and stomach upset when I would make a cut. Didn't have any head pressure, emotional detachment, or total insomnia. I feel so devastated by this.

Same for me (about noises when I turn my head).  I also figure that it's always been there, but that I didn't notice it when I was on the benzos.  Might be the same for my tinnitus (that benzos muffled it).  My dad had tinnitus, so maybe that's just hereditary.  ??
