Never had insomnia in my life until I quit. It is brutal.  It gets better. I don't sleep well now but I do sleep some now. Benadryl has the opposite effect on some. Kept me awake. I walk each day so I am tired. Try to stay out of bedroom during day. I walked even when exhausted to get tired. It does get better. Hang in there. It is so hard

Have your doc look in your ears. I have full feeling, dizziness, muffled hearing. Turns out I have fluid in my ears. A common problem from the cold, dry winter air. So, not everything is w/d.

Any tips.

Exhausted.

Was sleeping 5 hrs earlier.

Get anxious laying in bed.

Makes me very nervous others are sleeping.

I don't want to take any medication.

What are the coping skills.

There is just no rhyme or reason to the whole thing. I slept almost perfectly for two months out from my last dose then horrible insomnia hit. I just pray a lot and use a hypnosis track which sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't. I will say a prayer for you. Right now I am suffering badly from insomnia myself.

Have a severe cold..

Felt severe ear pressure and dizziness. Body being pushed to one side. .floating boat sensation, vertigo.

Can all this be flared up  by cold..

Sounds pretty normal to me.

I used Benzos for about 10 months.

I had similar symptoms during my taper and post taper.

But now. . .they are gone.

Stay positive!

Certainly a cold can rev you up. I have the flu and it's awful. A magnitude worse than being a normal person with it. I haven't slept in 4 days either, which is just crazy.

I had a terrible wave set off by the flu. I ended up in bed for 1 or 2 days because I was so dizzy that I thought I'd pass out. But I did feel so much better afterwards, and in fact started having some really good windows.

Those are all withdrawal symptoms. If you are ever in doubt you can always see your doctor but more than likely you are just in a wave of withdrawal. I've dealt with all of those symptoms throughout withdrawal. Hope you're feeling better so soon! Hang in there!

Vestibular testing...if you are having dizzines it's always good to have things checked out...if for no other reason than teassurance. I have had a long battery of several tests as sudden dizziness and an er visit is what started me down this path straight into hell.

....The tests are not invasive...a couple of them are kind of fun (  big goggles , fun viewer machines...balance chambe...hearing evaluation. There was one that bothered me and increased my dizziness momentarily, it involved dripping water into my ears, but it was short lasting dizziness...Most likely your results will be perfectly normal, but it might save you some health fear misery if you get dizzy again...you will be able to tell yourself that your testing came back normal...and you can get on with your life....IMO ...it's a good idea...cooperten...
