-My main symptom I'm looking for help for is fatigue, I feel like I can't do anything, even watching TV or browsing the internet feels like a burden. Wondering if there are any supplements, herbs or medications that I can use during this process. I don't want to give up but I at least need the energy to make it through the day.

I am joining to get help along the way with my taper that I started about a week ago. I went down from 2mg Ativan to 1.5 mg. I've been taking benzos for several years. Heavy periods of use I was taking up to 10mg of Ativan a day, mixed with many other substances. I'm hoping I can completely get of these drugs but even with the slow taper  I'm finding it very difficult.

In the past I had liquid Ativan then the 2mg pills now I'm getting two 1mg pills. I've taken many different types of benzos but Ativan is by far the one I've used the longest. I've been habituated to many other substances most notably: marijuana, prescription amphetamine, and prescription pain relievers.

Hi, Americano.

Welcome to benzobuddies! :)

I'm all too familiar with the feeling of fatigue. It's very common during benzo tapering and during recovery. I'm wondering if you may be tapering too quickly.

A good resource about benzodiazepines is the Ashton Manual. Here is a link to the manual: Professor Ashtons Manual  It’s great for learning about these meds and for taper plans. Ashton recommends reducing between 5 - 10% every 10/14 days.

You'll find a great community of people here who will support and encourage you. Feel free to check out the forum and to post to any of the dedicated boards.

In addition to the Ashton Manual, here are some other resources:
