how do I get off Ativan after 5 days? HELP

I finished tapering off of Klonapin at the end of May and had a sleep specialist give me .5mg of Lorizapam to help me sleep Dec 24 . I took it for 3 nights and another two...now I'm dizzy, spaced out, sick at my stomach and sooo tired  AHHH. CAN I just stop or do I have to taper off after so few days???

If you have only taken it for 5 days it should be safe to just stop. I personally would not take another one, ever.

THANK YOU FOR THIS SO QUICKLY. I'm having to more out of my house unexpecdly in a month and don't have the money to rent another so quickly. Not my fault. I have a daughter 23 living with me and the stress is unbelieveable. At Christmas no less. I work part time and live on my Social Security. But I haven't been able to sleep so doc sent me to sleep specialist..and what does he put me on!!!!!!! I've finally gotten myself off all the drugs they now say I was "misdiagnosed" so have to live with side effects of all this crap. BUT THANK you. I HATE this stuff.......nice to have so much understanding here...have a great New Year!!!

I took a week of rescue z drugs in a row months after I had quite them. They made me feel horrid. I just stopped. It was fine. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Did the sleep specialist know of your benzodiazepine withdrawal months ago. I have it in all my medical records that benzos should never be administered.  We are here for you night or day. Have a wonderful new year yourself.
