I realise when I dropped my Lorazepam 2.5 mg tablet by a quarter three weeks ago why I have been agitated. I have discussed it with my daughter who first brought it to me about being on Loraz for 4 years and the side effects., I have discussed it with my husband that it is going to have to be low and slow. Right now just before Xmas and all the stress it isnt a great idea. And I havent got the equipment. 

But I have the maths teacher of a husband who can help me work it all out. I am not scared yet, but we have agreed to look at it as a long process to be sucessful.

I just found out about the amnesia as I side effect of Lorazepam and I told my girlfriend how my hub and the kids say I forget whole conversations. My girlfriend says it has happened with her too. Now I am upset. Talked to my daughter who lives in the UK. She is very supportive and  researched Benzo 's and what they do.  I am not agnry wiht doctors.  They had to take a pool of water and bring it back to a human being. I guess if this was the consequence then I can wear it.

Hello Singing and welcome to BenzoBuddies!

 

"Starting" is already an achievement, it's the first step which is the most difficult to take, deciding to plan your withdrawal  :thumbsup:

 

I agree with Clona, it is a very sensible decision to let the Holiday season pass before you start, new beginnings for the New Year! And the support from your husband and daughter are invaluable... it sounds to me that you are set for the journey!

Plus, you have the support of this community - it has been great for me so far!

Thanks.  My daughter is usually cool about everything and it was when she and my daughter inlaw reacted and had a little jump up and down that I realised it was important.

I have also opted for a very slow approach so that I can ensure success (as best as I can!), I think it's a great idea  :)
