Question about dry throat and voice problems. Laryngitis sicca.

Friends,  i was put on this hellish drug when i woke up with a lump in my throat during a medical procedure.  I also lost my voice the day before being put on ativan.  This was 21 months ago and since then i have been through medical hell and still cannot talk and do not have a diagnosis.  I have all of the symptoms of silent reflux but i just had an ENT tell me that i have laryngitis sicca from the ativan.  I believe this is true, but  i am trapped.  I tapered clear down and off the ativan last winter and then had emergency gallbladder surgery, developed vasomotor rhinitis and still had the voice and throat problems and all the symptoms of silent reflux.  I was having such bad migraines that i made the fatal mistake of starting to take small amounts of ativan and since then  i am back up to 3mg.

Anyway to make a long story short, now my liver is going bad and i still do not have a diagnosis regarding my throat.  My question for anyone of you is,  do you have any dry throat or voice problems?  Its called laryngitis sicca and it makes your vocal cords unable to function properly.  Any reply would be greatly appreciated.  Love to you all.

I have dry throat and food even gets stuck. I had a scope twice showing nothing but had meds added anyway. Now I know it can be a s/x during withdrawal. I had to hold for several months to see what horrible things might be wrong. After several specialists cleared me during that time no funny voice, swallowing problems. So I am tapering again and all the s/x are back.
