Hello all. I hope there is no one here who remembers me!

There is life after benzos and I am proof positive of it. This is the first time I've been on this forum in almost eight years, and this visit is just by happenstance. I came across the site cleaning out old bookmarks and challenged myself to remember my login password and username.  I remembered correctly. Not bad for an old benzo head! It is true what they say, at least it was for me ,that after you are off the drug for awhile you tend to not think much about the horrors of withdrawal and that probably is a good thing.

I have no ill effects either mentally or physically and never think about popping a pill when life gets rough. I 've been reading a few of my old posts and hardly recognize the person that I once was.

Staying off, isn't as hard as you think.i It's like meeting an old friend or acquaintance who turned out to be trouble. It is better to steer clear than to engage them because you know they mean to do you harm. Just like benzos, a friend at first, even a life saver until you are hooked and can't find a way out. Anyway... As horrible as you might feel today, it is more than possible to quit. If I can do it, so can you! Remember, slow and steady wins the race...

Good luck!
