Hyperventilating

Recommended Posts

Hyperventilating has always been a withdrawal symptom that I have. I also get electrical shocks in my left foot and leg. Innerbody vibrations usually accompany this sometimes leading to violent shaking. Anybody else have this?

Yes, but not in the ways that I wanna be. Lol. I still feel insane or retarded on some days. Had a few scary feelings that also passed. But I can sleep without waking up in a panic at 4am. So that's a plus. My breathing is slowly coming back. And the derealization is gone. So that's a huge plus.

But we all know how this works. Expect the unexpected. Lol. What was your hardest month, Bailey?

You can slow your heart rate with breathing excersizes. Xanax doesn't come close to giving you the same feeling of content that the breathing do

Orionbash,  My worst month was the first . I was very confused and in tremendous nerve pain. Walking was difficult. I have gotten steadily better but the road has been rocky.i do feel hopeful today!

Hi Bailey.. the first time I hypervintilated I was 16... it scared me so bad I went to the emergency room.  Doctor said it was anxiety.  I've done this off and on all my life before I knew what benzos were.  I stopped having them when put on clonazepam, but during the end of my taper I had another episode, and for me they always happen at night.  Wake up with heart racing, arm numb and asleep, and trying to catch a good breath.  I haven't had another one since then and pray I don't.. very scary and with me I wake up from a sound sleep feeling as if I'm going to die.. I don't of course but it takes me awhile to calm down.  I think this will subside the longer we are off benzos..

God bless...Lilly555

I remember the violent shaking well. It's gone for me at just over 6 months out. Hang in there a little longer it will disappear. It has for me.
