Hello Perfect Daughter I read Your post regarding Your using an herb called kanna for sleep and depression.  I never heard of it and wondered if it was safe to take while I wean off of klonopin. I would like to get through My tapering process without having to take any other medication avoiding having to wean myself off of that one also henceforth back to insomnia. Its a vicious circle that I dont want to deal with.

 

It appears insomnia is a big problem with most people tapering off a psych drug. How can be not be irritable and nervous. The cortisol is through the rood and keeps up awake. Another person mentioned valerian root.  The problem is some herbs and suppliments are not suppose to be taken with Benzo's . I take melatonin and varying doses of tryptophan.  some nights it works other nights it dont and just makes Me drowsy.

 

Im finding as I get deeper into My tapering and the dose gets lower My anxiety is going up making it harder to get any sleep at all. We all know what a bad nights sleep is like especially that light sleep when on a benzo. It never really helped Me out, just made Me feel drugged up for 4 hours. My body has been hurting ever since I started it. Wish I had never gotten on it in the first place.  I am going to try to get through the weaning without having to take a medication however will try everything natural first , if all else fails then its back to the drawing board. I hate benzo's.
