Hi Bailey11  Welcome to Benzobuddies

Congratulations on being benzo free. I am so sorry to hear you were taken off klonopin abruptly. Benzodiazepines should be tapered slowly.  I am glad its getting better any withdrawal symptoms your experiencing are temporary but it does take some time for the CNS to recover.

I will put a link to the Ashton manual here for you: Professor Ashtons Manual It is an authoritative resource on benzodiazepines and withdrawals

Please feel free to post to any of the dedicated boards, I am sure one of our members will be along shortly to welcome you, we have a wonderful community of people here. Members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal and are more than willing to share their experiences.

Here is link to the Post withdrawal support Post withdrawal recovery support board

Take a look at the success stories, it does get better with time. Success Stories

If you would be so kind as to add a signature (history of meds/doses etc) it will help members give you relevant advice this link will show you how to Create a signature

Please let us know If you have any questions.

Welcome Aboard

Well hello and welcome Bailey11

You have managed to achieve something that is not too easy to do (being free of medication for almost half of a year), so you should be proud of that!

I am new here, but there's no shortage of people who will be able to answer you. I wish I was able to help you about your withdrawal symptoms but I'm trying to figure them out for myself too.

I hope you enjoy your time here and that you receive the help/support/answers you are after!

I just now saw your reply, I have been very out of it and am thankful it's been the weekend because I don't think I could function out in the world this way. I can only imagine how tough it's been for you, and I commend you for your willpower and being so strong. It's delighting news to hear that you're symptoms are getting better. I feel like where I am at is never ending, I am unsure still of exactly what I want to do. It's kind of hard to seek help when I don't even know what I want. I want to be done and be better of course but that just feels almost impossible to reach.

I know what it is like to feel that I may never get well. Today was a wonderful day , almost symptom free. Yet yesterday was very difficult . I worry what tomorrow will bring. Yet the trajectory of recovery has been upward. For me feelings of hopelessness have been present all through withdrawal but they pass.  I can now see I will get well. You can too.

It's like music to my ears seeing that you've had a good day. Seeing that things have been somewhat better for you does make me happy, and hopefully if I can ride this out, I can one day experience that too. I can completely relate to you when you say what tomorrow may bring worries you. I don't have that much going on in my life but yet I still am kept up all night and worry so much about how tomorrow might be. I know I should just let the days unfold as they're intended to but it's very tricky for me to do. Hopelessness isn't even a big enough word to describe how I feel, words can just not do any justice to express myself..

Hey Maggels, Are you in withdrawal? It can be the darkest, loneliest, most hopeless place to be. Even if your not in withdrawal it sounds like your not feeling very well. If I am making it  through this journey so can you . This morning was a good morning but this afternoon is more difficult . However I AM getting better over all.Looking  forward to your next post.

Me again, I do consider myself to be in withdrawal. It's been about two days now since I've resumed taking my medication, and things are still just down right miserable. I went about a week with no medication at all and so the Xanax and Klonopin that was built up in my system started to leave because I was not putting any more in. I am waiting for it to catch back up and build up in my system again to hopefully alleviate some of the miserable effects I am going through. I actually had to visit the ER last night because I was thought to be having a seizure. I just cannot wait until I level back out again so I can think clearly and come up with a plan to slowly start distancing myself from this poison. I am glad to read that you had a good morning, these past two days have given me no good times what so ever, aside talking to wonderful and helpful people here - that's about it. I am glad you are still here and still going. As the day grows longer and longer it just gets worse and worse, afternoons are always most difficult for me, as well as early morning. Hope you are doing alright and to hear from you soon.

Maggels , I am sorry to hear you went to the ER last night. This is a terrible situation fir you. Is your doctor of any help?  Sometimes they are not but I hope he or she is someone who understands all this. I'm glad the site is helpful I'm worried abut you.
