splitting my dose

I am currently taking 0.5 xanax once per day should I split that to . 25 twice a day?

Are you tapering?  I would just stick to one dose/day if you can.  It'll probably be easier.

the reason I thought it would be good to split it is I would be keeping my blood level even throughout the day but I also understand that I'm already into a routine so if anybody has another opinion please let me know

It will be easier to taper (just convenience) if you leave it at once a day. And if you're not having withdrawals from it during the day, I would leave it alone. Your body seems to be handling this once-a-day dose okay.
