When did your mental/emotional symptoms become at least bearable? Thanks.

I asked this question once! The majority response was after people turned a corner. I got 3, 4, 5-7, 11 months. We are almost at 4 months!!! Hopefully that is our month for the mentals to subside.

My mental sxs lessened a bit at 7 months. The fear of being alone left. The uncontrollable sobbing stopped. And the very dark depression, that "chemical WD depression," left.

 

I still have anxiety and crying, but to a lesser degree. No more fear.

 

Still have alot of physical sxs, brutal. But as painful as the physical sxs are, that mental torture is brutal, it is as if my brain is hijacked.

As weird as it may sound, my mental symptoms cleared up immediately. I decided to take my last dose, woke up the next morning with a clear head. Now, I am only going on day 12 here and may get hit before all of this is over, but I take what is given to me. The physical symptoms, on the other hand, are with me constantly. Sometimes its as if I can't even stand to be in my own body. I have never felt more uncomfortable. Hopefully all of these things will get better for us as time goes by. Let's just stick together and support each other and celebrate our victories!

When I learned to be a man and not let this GARBAGE situation get to me. Whenever I think of benzo withdrawal I like to show my anger to it and spit on the ground. Benzo withdrawal can burn in hell. It's not my demon anymore. Screw that.
