Lack of energy/ fatigue

[Ru...]

Recommended Posts

I seem to be feeling very weak and fatigued with lots of body pain.

I have no endurance for anything and trying to do anything causes my heart to race, body to pain and burn and I feel sick.

I feel bone tired.

This is not normal at all. The level of fatigue( bone tired not sleepy tired) is crazy.

Is this normal for wd?

Great description... I could almost feel it again.  It was the last symptom to leave (yeah, I know it's a big one).  I'm in a cycle of having tons of my old usual spark and energy to crashing and burning back to the couch to rest, feeling my heart pound at any exertion and feeling the aches and pains of an old woman that I never had before.

But.  Even that's better than acute withdrawal.  As the time goes by I have more and more productive time and less down time.

Hope that helps.

Hey chal, thanks so much for your answer. I do appreciate it .

How much time now would you say you are well versus the time you are back down and out?

Oh god groove, what has happened to us.

I did think about you when I wrote this post. Do you have burning body pain too?

Also my chest constantly vibrates so it feels like I am having heart palps.

Everyone's pattern is different... I am completely functional probably 75% of the time.  If I push too hard for too long (which has always been my MO) eventually it catches up with me and I'm out of energy for awhile.  Sometimes a couple of weeks.  But also, I was down on the couch for close to a year.  I'm 64 years old.  I'm fighting my way back from doing nothing for a year, too.

I'm getting there.  Things keep improving as the time goes by.

Like right now my arms are burning and sore.

Also I have chest vibrating and feels like my heart is skipping.

Hey groove do you ever feel a quivering in the throat or a feeling of the heart beating In the throat?

Well, I didn't mean to make it sound like I'm suffering.  I get tired, that's all now.  All the rest is gone.  I don't mind laying on the couch most of the day for a week or so.  I put in lots of time here when my energy is low.

But I otherwise feel fine.  No complaints...really.

You described it exactly how I would Ruby. When I push to hard, which can be as simple as walking around the house, my skin starts burning, I'll feel sick and spinny, and my symptoms will rev. Hoping the micro-taper allows for a slow rebuilding of my endurance.

Hi Ruby:

I can understand how you are feeling. I once went thru a two-week period where I was so fatigued that I couldn't even take a shower. I just slept all day and all night. It felt like my body had turned into cement. I told my pdoc about this and he said, Betsy, you are probably over tired from not sleeping. Ha! If he only knew the difference. 180 degree difference. I would prefer to not sleep all week than get that fatigue back. Luckily, it went away after two weeks. I might as well have been dead during that time, 'cause that's how I felt. Like a corpse. Bets

Fatigue is my life story. I am having that problem right now along with migraines. Just posted about it. It's a nasty one bc you can't do what it takes to help the sadness and for me being on the couch doesn't bc but getting up to do things only makes things worse. So you now know your not alone. It's a viscous cycle. I called my doctor about this and he doesn't get it. He said call him Monday if it doesn't get better. Feel like I have CFS or something. We are the only ones who understand. To bad T.V. sucks for me lately  ::).

I have your same symptoms, they are normal and they will go away as they did for me the first time I quit benzos :smitten:

Hi Ruby:

I haven't seen you around for a while. Maybe I just missed your posts. Anyway, regarding fatigue. A few months ago I overslept (whaat? Me the insomniac?) and I woke up and felt that someone replaced my blood with cement. I was tired down to my bones. Tired isn't the right word actually, because it was much more than a tired feeling. I got up, took my meds, ate, and then went back to sleep for three hours. I could barely get up enough energy to take a shower, which I didn't. Too damned tired. Then I took a 3 hour afternoon nap and all I could do after that was lay in bed and watch TV. Then I slept all night, very unusual for me. I thought it was the very worst symptom out there. I just couldn't stand it, or even stand. lol. This went on for two weeks and then one day I woke up and it was gone! If I still had it, I would not be posting here but instead, I would probably be asleep. Meals were a nightmare for me. I could barely hold up my fork. So IMO, it was a withdrawal symptom that thankfully went away after just two weeks. Thank God for big favors. I hope it disappears for you too, as I well know what you are going through. But unfortunately, my insomnia came back in a rage. hugs, Bets
