What's going on feels like accute I can't take it again

My kindergarder got a flu with a stomach issues then a bad cold over a week ago. I finally got the illness and I feel like the week after I jumped. Severe anxiety surges so bad I want to reinstate. Night terrors, morning anxiety with bizarre thoughts. Now I have a heavy cold so I take a nap wake up in terror. The cold is not nearly as bad as this surge in anxiety. I'm jumpy, distracted, dizzy, constipated, Fearful and off its like my whole system is just a mess. I can't take this again, I thought I was past feeling like this ...I haven't taken anything for my symtoms except a teaspoon of Benadryl 4 or 5 days ago. Why is this happening can a cold rev up symtoms ? I have not been sick like this in a very long time. My entire taper I only had Benzo related sickness.

I caught the flu when I was recovering too.  It definitely makes things much worse but when the flu went away the wave began to dissipate as well.  I hope you can hang on and get past this.  You have many months of healing under your belt already.

Crazy...I sympathize with you this is strange stuff but normal...we are a few weeks apart in jump dates...I thought I'd share the very same has happened to me twice in the last few weeks. I ended up with a bad infection a few weeks ago and it really sent me into a wave just like acute...a few weeks later I had a fabulous week long window- go figure, right? I knew the infection didn't completely clear but was afraid to do another round of antibiotics for fear of revving it all up again. The infection became worse a few days ago so now round two of antibiotics ...bang another bad wave...so no doubt being sick really does make everything worse... Anyway keep hanging in there...I'm sure when we both feel better this will pass

Make a steeped tea of basil, oregano and thyme leaves.  Add honey, drink hot or cold, will clear up congestion and lungs.  Works up to 8 hrs for me.  I use a quart pan of water to a few tsp of each herb.

benadryl can cause anxiety and panic attacks for some people.. it even tells youon the internet.. i'm allergic to a lot of that otc crap..

Thanks guys I'm in tears. I have finals next week and all my end of year work due. I'm losing right now. I feel so incredibly anxious its unbearable topped with cold symtoms.
