Dr mistakenly gave Trazodone 150 (1mth) and Wellbutrin 150xl (4mths). Help pleas

Help please!!! My dr is a...... doctor. Not supposed to mix these drugs. Need to pick one to cut before my benzo taper start. not supposed to take these meds together. Felt bad ever since another dr added the Traz (belly, fatigue and constipation)but after researching all meds I'm about to decide on cutting the "accelerator" Wellbutrin. Any and all opinions would be appreciated. Nervous, Thank you!!

I was prescribed and on both drugs at the same time. My personal opinion would be to taper off the Wellbutrin for the same reason you suggested.......namely it's an amphetamine derivative and can be very revving. Also Trazodone is supposed to be sedating......it did not do that to me but if it has that effect on you then it might help you sleep until and if you plan on getting off that drug too.

Wellbutrin is used to treat depression side effects that involve sleeping too much and fatigue. I was on it for a while, about 2 years. i wouldn't take it if you are having trouble sleeping thanks to withdrawal, plus the withdrawal from wellbutrin can be hard to deal with too. Better stick with trazodone if you need it for sleep.
