Hello, I have been on Klonopin for at least 10 years. The Doc just recently tapered me off. Was on 1 mg. She told me to take a half for 1 week. I started (as I see now) having withdrawals. I thought it was my Depression and anxiety. Nope. I need support from this group. I am beside myself with this. Which is not making things any better. (angry)  So went back on 1mg a day. ER Doc.  I need support.  I'm scared as I don't have any other addictions.  :-(

I am sorry you experienced withdrawal symptoms. It sounds like your doctor had you reduce too rapidly. Stopping to quickly can cause some pretty bad symptoms. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks.

 

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.  She describes and explains withdrawal symptoms.
