Neurontin - Valium

Hi, I am tapering off valium and am put on 400mg Neurontin. The doctor says it works on the same Gaba receptors and should help with benzo withdrawal. Does anybody have any experience with this ?

Yes, I was put on 2700 of mg of Neurontin in early withdrawal. it was extremely helpful with my anxiety. I had no problem getting off of it, but many do. It can create withdrawal symptoms much like a benzodiazepine withdrawal, so I would approach the use of it with caution.
