Rivotril

Hello, the reason I joined is because I am on Rivotril for 2 years on 3x0,5 mg per day. The reason I am taking is, because I have a very bad case of Burning mouth syndrome, and it helps me a bit. I still have BMS and is so severe, that is killing my mind and body!I would like to know if it is very difficult to taper and how long does it take to be without it? Very bad side effects? I have a good psyhitrist who is supporting me  all the way! I was give Rivotril in pain clinic!

Hi and welcome, Malajka.

 

Sorry to hear about the burning mouth syndrome.  I have had that myself in years past, though it went away when I was finished with my taper.  Rivotril (Clonazepam) can be tapered at a rate of 5 to 10% every two weeks or so and if done slowly should not have bad side effects.  Our members can help support you in this.
