Hey buddies I don't think I can go on like this. I'm so so sick I don't even know what to do. Something has set me back in a very bad way. I no longer believe this is just a wave. I've been doing a lot of research on different teas and peppermint tea messes with gaba as does lemon balm, chamomile and some others. I put myself back into acute withdrawal! I'm do pissed off and I can't take this anymore! What do I do?

You can go on Cool. Setbacks are bad, just remember the good days. In the past few weeks, the kind words of encouragement have helped me through a very unwelcome wave, I believe you were one of those people. So it's my turn to say, you can make it through.

Please don't freak yourself out over the teas, "correlation is not causation." Chamomile tea is actually used to help people relax.  Are you sure it's organic? (no, I'm just kidding) Peppermint is good for the stomach and digestion which is why restaurants give them out.

Distraction is key. Focusing on symptoms only magnifies them. Do whatever has helped in the past, but try to do it.....

You will get through this:)

I'm trying really hard but I'm so sick I'm just laying in bed shaking and burning on fire. I've never been this bad except for my very first ct 5 years ago. I'm feeling suicidal and not sure what to do? Thanks for the reply.

Cool....by any chance do you have a virus?...a head cold, chest cold, sniffles...anything of the sort? I was actually seeing some progress last week , feeling hopeful when I began with a chest cold that has had me in a very severe wave these past few days , feeling like I was at the height of this withdrawal back during the summer, mental sxs and all...I even questioned the Chamomille tea I ve been drinking..the Mag/Vit C/ D citrate I d been taking..the tart cherry juice..all of it, until I read in a thread last night( can t find it again  ???  that Ashton had written, about how any type of virus , can throw you into a wave...???

I drink chamomile tea EVERY day. Yes. It effects GABA. But teas are weak. Not enough to set you back dude. A lot of people get acute waves. Its usually the last intense wave and you are done. Hopefully.

Thanks Mary and I'm glad I was able to help you. I'm doing the best I can guys but I haven't been this sick since I jumped.

Orion, I hope you're right. It would be nice if this was the last wave.

Its gonna be OK. This really could be the last wave. Hang in there. Take it minute by minute if you have to.

Do u guys think a beta blocker might help or some clonidine? I'm getting desperate and scared to drink anymore tea. I'm ready to drink whiskey instead!

Beta blocker might help, I take propranolol when my symptoms get really bad, helps calm down my heart, stops it from racing and palpitating, also helps the physical feeling of anxiety - it doesn't do much to stop me worrying though...

20mg if it's not that bad, usually when I'm trying to sleep and my heart's going too fast or palpitating keeping me from sleep - 40mg if I'm in the middle of a really bad wave.

One thing about 40mg it does tend to make me bit light headed if I walk around a lot, so if anyone takes that dose I recommend just watching TV for a few hours with a cup of tea :) I only take it occasionally so don't build up tolerance.

Yeah it's for blood pressure, but I was prescribed it specifically for anxiety and heart issues due to benzo withdrawal - my heart and blood pressure is otherwise fine :)

I have a bottle of it for over a year. I also have clonidine, it's another bp med that helps with adrenaline surges. They both make me feel kind of sick and I'm afraid to take them. If this keeps up I'm not gonna have a choice. Either that or some whiskey.

I wouldn't have the whiskey, Cool.  It may help temporarily but could well backfire later.  Can you take a half dose instead of a whole dose of the clonidine...maybe a half dose won't make you sick.

Thanks challis99 I take a quarter pill when I did take them and it's still too strong. I've always been sensitive to meds.

I won't harm myself. I'm too religious to do that and scared hell will be even worse than this or this could be my hell for eternity!
