Changing taper from 4 to 3 times a day?

Hi,

 

Just wanted to get some input.  I have been tapering from Ativan, dosing 4 times a day.  I am now down to 0.125mg 3 times a day 7am, 12pm, 5pm) with a final dose of 0.0625mg at 10 pm.  I am dry-cutting the 0.5 mg tablets.

 

I have been eyeballing it.  It's difficult cutting these tiny crumbs. 

 

Would i be better off dosing 3 times a day, therefore cutting larger pieces?

It will certainly make it easier to deal with the pieces if you move to 3 doses a day.  You'll have a little more variation during the day of the amount of medicine in your blood stream.  To get an idea of what that will feel like, you might try delaying one of your current doses by an hour or two.  You could even nudge yourself in that direction by doing 0.125 mg at (e.g.) 7am, 1 pm, 7 pm with 0.03(ish) mg at 10 pm.  After a couple of weeks, you could move to 0.15 mg at 7am, 2 pm and 9 or 10 pm.  All sort of ways to make it work, and hopefully the additional variation in drug availability won't significantly impact you.

Thx for the input, i appreciate it!  I am trying this out today, took 0.125 at 7, taking my second 0.125 now at 2pm.  Will see how things are going later.
