Advice for New Short Time Benzo Users Looking to Taper

Spread out your dosage into 4 parts throughout the day to avoid inter dose withdraw symptoms.

I was recently suffering from morning anxiety and took some of my noon dosage to take in the morning and I am much more stable now.

You do not need to up dose. I was taking .375 mg at noon, .25 mg at 6-6:30 pm, and .375 mg at 10:30 pm. None in the morning.

I took .125 mg from my noon dosage to take in the morning and my anxiety in the morning is now gone.

I now take .125 early morning, .25 noon, .25 6:00 pm and .375 at bedtime and will continue my taper.

This will allow for a steady flow of the short acting benzo ( Xanax & Ativan ) in your blood stream throughout the day and you will be more stable.

Everyone reacts different, but it worked for me and I know that many people tapering from short acting benzos do the same.

You may want to add more in the morning and less throughout the day or more at night to help you sleep. Everyone is different, but spreading it out at 4 doses throughout the day I think helps most.
