What to do if you can't remember whether you took your morning dose!

I have more valium than I need as I'm going quicker than my very supportive dr advises. So I haven't really been keeping an eye on how many pills I have left in any given pack as I'm about 2 packs ahead of schedule. I can't remember taking this mornings. (I do 10am and 10pm doses). I can't count the pills because I stupidly haven't been keeping track (in the knowledge that if my kindly doc has a heart attack tomorrow I have quite a bit spare to get me through even if I find a non benzo wise doc) which is far more common in today's world.

 

I poured the water but it doesn't look like I had a sip. (One doesn't need a large sip for tablets tho). Do I assume I took them or do I assume I didn't and take them now..... I know not taking them day 3 after a cut would be very detrimental, but doubling up (that would be an extra 10mgs!) could be more so!

 

What do I do??

If it were me, I would go ahead and take the dose.

 

If it turns out to be a double dose, just think of it as being similar to a "rescue dose" which a lot of people do without a problem.

 

You may want to get a pill holder, though. You're the second person I've mentioned this to for a similar situation in the past 10 minutes, so it does happen a lot around here!

Yes I think I will get a pill holder. Especially as I have a surplus. Thanks for the advice. I am not feeling like I took my dose, but I often don't in the mornings.....

Some people feel better with a rescue dose and others don't. But I've yet to see it mess up a taper and that's the important thing.

 

Also, people who do this accidentally tend to be more careful in the future. Plus, they seem to worry more about the effect of a rescue dose and maybe less likely to use a rescue dose on purpose in the future.

There really is no risk in taking a one-off updose, but a significant risk in skipping a dose.

 

Anytime you are unsure if you took a dose, go ahead and take it anyway.

If it was a double dose, it hasn't helped. Thinking it was my morning dose. I usually drink the full glass of water when taking pills. I will let you know tomorrow if things are worse. (Day 3-5 after a cut are usually my nemesis days however)

Make a piece of paper with the days, if you took your dose Mark with a x , simpel but so you can,t forget .......

 

My pc told my you won,t notice if you skip a dose of V because of the long half life, i notice i the next day, is that possible ?

 

She says it,s al in my head, dropped 2 mg yesterday afternoon, i dose 3 time,s a day 4 mg....

So yesterday 2 mg in the afternoon , and woke up with a massive headace and feeling dizzy.....

 

So i think it,s possible , what do you think...

Bad choices i was the  other person MindSeeker was mentioning i screwed up my dose of Klonopin last night ( took to much ) and was sleeping by 8 pm. I just feel a bit more tired today and make it a point to get a pill box we have enough trouble with going thru the taper without causing our anxious minds more worries !

I did the same. I double dosed 10 mg of V. Then  I got a pill container like everyone here advised so no more troubles. If the pills are there, they you didn't take your dose. I have to wonder why you are cutting faster than your doctor recommended? Bets
