Hi, hope all is well.

I believe it's withdrawal. I took .5 lorazapam PRN for about 6 years and now have periodic prickly skin sensations all over that won't go away. MRI/spinal tap/blood tests are clear.

Lorazapam

6 years ish, but PRN. probably 30 tablets total.

No taper, just stopped, but I didn't take it very often.

None of my doctors know what's wrong with me :(

Hi, tehsquishmeister.

Welcome to benzobuddies. Glad you found us.  :)

Prickly skin sensations can very well be a sign of benzo withdrawal. I went through what I called "crawling skin" sensations. I'm glad you got checked out. At least you have that peace of mind.

Congratulations on coming off lorazapam. When was your last dose?

A good resource about benzodiazepines is the Ashton Manual. Here is a link to the manual: Professor Ashtons Manual  It’s great for learning about these meds and for taper plans. Ashton recommends reducing between 5 - 10% every 10/14 days.

You'll find a great community of people here who will support and encourage you. Feel free to check out the forum and to post to any of the dedicated boards.

For advice now that you're off of benzos, please post to Post-withdrawal Recovery Support
