It's actually tomorrow, but since my hubby is taking me out for the day to enjoy life for a change I won't be here tomorrow!  Imagine that!  Leaving the house!  8) (YESSS!)

It's been 5 months of hell, and I know hell!  Two car wrecks (both times hit by drunk drivers), 11 surgeries, 4 were spine, almost paralyzed from waist down.  Then benzos and opiates.  This is worse than ALL of it by a mile!

But I'm gaining traction despite some slippage here an there  ;D  My buds on here keep me motivated, you know who you are!  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Hang in there buddies, you can do this.  If this beat up girl can, you definitely can!

Worst SX's then.....extreme muscle/tendon/ligament cramps head to toes,  nerve pain arms, legs, insomnia, paranoia, depression, vision problems, sickening sense of smell  :P WEREWOLF senses to the MAX!  I can hear a pin drop from 40 paces!  Tinnitus (least of all, I can handle that, whoopie), twitching, jerking, feet and fingers moving on their own. DP, DR, speaking words that don't exist, not able to concentrate for a second, looping brain, couldn't get songs out of my head early morning.  Laying in bed wide awake for hours.  Skin issues, red scalp, dandruff, dry skin, boils, zits, weird things I'm not sure of coming out of my skin on face  :o  and many more sx's

NOW:  mild cramps, some nerve pain, bad at times, vision problems, sinus problems.  I'm walking much more, cooking more, getting out more.

Things that bother me still :  waking up shaky, and off balance, prone to leg cramps and nerve pain in legs first couple hours being up.  Anxiety is GONE!  I attribute some of that to the beta blocker I'm taking, and it's helped me amazingly!

I'm sleeping now!  Supplements helping me, Inositol, Theanine, Glycine, Magnesium Citrate, Potassium, Tumeric, and Ovaltine for vitamins & minerals.

Best of all, my hair is growing back thick and shiny!  I lost half my hair easily, it was so depressing, but it's growing fast! :D

Looking forward to month 6!  If the leg cramps and nerve pain go away I'm seriously healed in my mind.  The rest I can deal with!

MG

Benzos, thx!  Sheesh time has sure flown by!  I'm glad of that!  We had a great time, although I was weak and nerve pain ramped up from bad migraine last night.  Bought a new shaggy, soft rug for bathroom, I bought a new frosting knife to do my cakes, as I've started baking again.  A rum cake is next!

ABCD, thanks, hugs!

Great to hear, Mountain Girl!! Especially about the hair--I have lost half of mine in 8 months and already was bald once due to chemo. Being bald twice in your 40s really stinks. But your post is giving me HOPE!

Love to you!

You're a powerhouse! A force to be reckoned with! Happy for you..you're getting there! Balance issues is by far one of my worst symptoms next to random anxiety.

Reading your story I'm thinking to myself...what am I complaining about!

If you can do it...so can I! have a splendid day!

Sister, love you to also  :smitten:  God bless you!  So sorry for the chemo and now benzos, I cannot imagine how hard that was, and then they give you benzos  :nono:

I am also taking hair, skin & nail vitamins. biotin is excellent for hair regrowth!  Hair started coming in on hairline first, I'm getting my bangs back finally!  Have a way to go, but have much more than I did!  Just wish I didn't have to die it so much, nasty greys came in fast through C/T W/D.  Hang in there dear sis, it will happen.

 Lots of love, MG :smitten:

LM, I've been in a bit of a wave too, akathesia, the nerve pain in legs has been horrible for a week or so, but I did have 4 lovely almost normal days before that.  Thankful cramps are almost gone, now the whole body nerve pain can take a hike!!

Wish I could skip ahead to 7 months!  Congrats to you!

Amore!   MG

Congratulations Mountaingirl!!!!

Yep can't say how many times I've said, I'd rather have 2 knee surgeries,  a hysterectomy,  a bowel resection and a chemo with DPD deficiency (look that one up - another FDA lapse - which is how I got on the benzo) over a benzo withdrawal.  My hair is finally growing back a little. The FDA needs a big shakeup. So glad you are doing better!!!  Best wishes to a full recovery.
