JUMPED today!!!!

Here's hoping that symptoms reside at some point and don't indeed turn out to be due to GAD/panic attacks.

Ready to get back to myself!

Thanks to all who have given me support and guidance!  I never thought that at 35/36 years old, I would have sooooooo many bizarre symptoms and feel so much unlike myself.

This has definitely opened my eyes.  I will never just take a medication from a doctor without fully investigating it and assessing the risks/rewards.

Keep the faith, buddies!  I hope we all continue to heal and get better!

Thank you, badsocref!

Thanks, groovejuice!  I hope your post-jump is getting better!

Thanks, Lilly555!

Thanks, Mary333!

Everyone here is so awesome!  The general public just has no idea about this form of torment!  Benzobuddies is such a valuable resource!  Without it, I probably would have been talked into jumping too soon!

Thanks again, everybody!

Down with benzos!  Long live freedom of mind, body and soul!!!!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOTO! Proud of you! W/D attacks all ages...I'm right ahead of you...39 years old. Was slammed with Lyme Disease at 37...too young to be going through this crap...but then again...no one should have too. Here's to healing! You will heal!

    :D :D :D  Happy, Happy Day!!!

I am about 4 months off of Klono...still have healing to go.

But, I am now going to measure my progress month by month. Not day by day.

The only thing I would suggest that has not already been suggested today...is start having a plan "IF" you are hit with insomnia.

For many of us this is our worst lasting symptom. Just be prepared, make appts later in the day.

Morreweg,

Thank you!  I am trying to get an idea of what my baseline anxiety level is....last year at this time, I was fine....stressed, but no anxiety, panic attacks, or crazy migraines (just "regular" migraines).  I need to learn the breathing techniques better, in case my anxiety worsens...I never want to pop another benzo in this life or the next!

LovingMother,

Thank you for the support!  I am a loving father of a wonderful little 3 year old girl, so I need to stay strong and myself for her!  I know what you mean about Lyme Disease...I ride off-road motorcycles in the woods and we have a lot of deer around here, so I know it is out there.  I am so sorry to hear that you contracted it.  The only reason I think I'm ok is because after having a complicated migraine event in March, they did a lot of bloodwork, MRI, catscan, and I know they tested for Lyme, tested my thyroid, etc...thanks again!  I hope you can find a way to manage both the Lyme and benzos...good luck and I'll be praying and thinking about you!

bnzodie,

Thanks for the tip!  I feel for so many buddies struggling with insomnia.  I've only had it sporadically throughout my life and couldn't even imagine how hard it would be to face daily for a long period of time.  I dropped my night-time dose first and didn't notice any adverse effects from that.  Now that I've dropped my daytime dose, I have noticed that I've been waking up around 3:30 a.m. each morning (usually going to bed around 10:30-11 p.m.).  So far, I've been able to drift back to sleep after about 15 minutes or so.  I'll keep an eye on it though...

Right now, the weirdest things I'm dealing with are the buzzing/body vibrating sensation...especially when I first lie down at night.  I feel like my whole body is shaking!  But when I wake up in the morning and am just lying there, I don't notice it.  Also, I am getting major yuckiness after eating meals....stomach feels tight/bloated, feel anxious, etc...that is the only time where I really feel like I'm experiencing recurring anxiety.  I didn't notice it until I dropped the night-time dose.

Otherwise, I am definitely feeling more energetic having dropped the clonazepam!

Thank you!

benzos-R-cruel,

Thanks!  I was fortunate to have resources such as the internet and benzo buddies early on in all of this, to help me know that I didn't want to be on benzos for a long time.  I feel empathy for the long-term buddies who only had their doctor's advice to go on back in the day (not saying this is you, the thought just came to mind as I was typing a response to you).

Thanks again, everyone!  The support in here is top-notch!

Thanks everyone!

It's been 1 week since my jump!  I'd rather say 1 year, but I don't want to wish my life away either

Right now, the biggest issues I've had are GI-related.  Gassiness, lower jaw feels tight (comes and goes throughout the day), mouth feels tighter when eating a meal, have to clear my throat for a few minutes after eating a meal, etc...  I had some gassiness and bloating pre-benzos, but not the clearing the throat bit.

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and my whole body felt tingly, like sleeping on your arm, but it was my whole body.  I'm used to the internal tremors and random tingles, but this one kind of caught me by surprise.

I do feel I have more energy and focus since jumping....no brain fog, no dizziness, no burning tongue/mouth, and best of all...no migraines!

Thanks for everyone's support!

jth, thanks!  I feel for those with insomnia!

babyangel, thank you...I walk everyday.  I haven't tried specific vitamins yet though.
