Can one experience lasting trauma from withdrawl experience?

I don't think so. Not permanently. Once its over people probably feel amazing, but are walking on eggshells for a bit hoping its not just a window. Anything that you went through can be dealt with with a therapist. Try not to look that far ahead right now.

I did, but that has since past. I know have moments if not minutes where I don't even think about it anymore. Hopefully sometime that will turn into hours and days. There will be a time when this is behind you dolphin.

I think so, but I do think with time it will be something that can be put behind you. After my whole benzo withdrawal experience I was diagnosed with ptsd last year. Withdrawal itself was traumatic, especially the way everything happened that forced me to have to quit the drug. I think benzo withdraw is more like a stressor and can bring out your past traumas. But if you had to stop abruptly or was forced to I think it could be very traumatic.
