I had trouble with anxiety when I had to drive for some months during the end of my taper and for awhile after the taper was over.  It didn't prevent me from driving but I drove as little as possible just from a discomfort level.

I can drive but it can be scary if I'm feeling disconnected.

A lot of people here do whatever they can to avoid driving until it feels more comfortable.  Order groceries delivered, have a friend do errands or drive you, etc.

Im lucky that my wife drives.

Even on my push bike things seem a little bit hectic.

Well done to you jerry for managing to keep behind the wheel

That's a big positive.

I can drive. It's my physically syx that keep me in bed that prevent me from driving much. When I do go out my hubby is with and he drives.

I was so out of it cognitively at first as I was in a high dose of K and three terrible psych drugs. I was walking zombie. I couldn't drive for 7 years because of this. Once I got rid of those three nasty drugs and came down in my K taper, I was able to drive again, and I make a point of driving every single day, even if I have nowhere to go. Since I couldn't drive for such a long period of time, now I really appreciate the ability to do so. You never know what you've missed until you get it back. I consider it to be a treat. Bets

Thank god i can drive.  I'm basically my kid's chauffeur.  I can't imagine what it would be like if my sxs got so bad that I couldn't drive.  And i drive myself to class a few nights a week.

I live 5 miles from the nearest small town and 45 miles from civilization.  I have to drive, even if it hurts.

I don't have to worry about driving much bc I have an amazing husband helping me thru this :smitten: however, I believe I could force it if it was a necessity. I have.

I used to I was even driving up to 45 mins on the highway alone, then this time last year I was ran off the road woke up in a Er and then was told my best friend had passed away(not from the wreck) since then is when I noticed things getting bad again. I often wished this is all a coma and I'll wake up with him next to me :'( sometimes this doesn't feel real

I couldn't drive first 2 months, nerve pain, leg weakness and cramps, my reflexes were at zero, and I had bad vertigo.  Now I drive to my massage therapy apt. once a week, that's all I can manage still at 4 months.  My hubby drives when we need to go somewhere.

I haven't been able to drive since withdrawal kicked in. It has been almost eight weeks. I am lucky that I have my partner to drive me. I am suppose to go back to work next week but I have no idea how that is going to happen with me feeling this way and not ever being able to drive. I feel that if I drove myself I would be a huge risk to other drives. I messed up my life. No way will I do that to other people.

Yep, live in the forest of NW Oregon.  It's green for a reason...rains from Oct thru March or sometimes snow, just to be annoying.

Ohio we can have all 4 seasons in a week. Tuesday it was almost 80 then got cold again then rain, snow last night.

Where did you say you lived in Ohio? I lived in N. Royalton, about 20 miles SW of Cleveland. A very small community next to Parma.
