6 months off K and feeling frustrated!

I'm 6 months off Klonopin and not 1 window. The symptom I have non stop is parasthesia. Constant twitching, burning, prickling in my legs mostly. I have horrible DR and my brain runs so slow. I've been doing this for 5 years and today the thought crossed my mind that I may never heal.

Hi Godsgrace

Sorry your struggling at the moment, it will get better I promise you.  Not everyone gets windows in the first few months, It doesn't mean you wont heal.  At around 18 months I got one! window... a few weeks later I was healed.

You wont wait as long as I did, you will recover with a bit more time

Hang in there

Thank you

Maybe you should post your problems on the post withdrawal section? Except for the mods/admins, nobody here actually knows the real truth/understanding about your post taper problems. Just a suggestion on my part. Good luck to you! Bets

Because you have been on a long time, and withdrawn several times, you may be in for a longer withdrawal this time around. You may be kindled, is why. But at 6 months, you're not even considered protracted.

Not having windows doesn't mean anything. I never had one, not in two years of withdrawal! Yet - I healed anyway.

At 6 months, I was still quite a mess, unable to function, think, and I lived in a constant state of fear. I didn't think I would ever feel better, and thought maybe I had gone insane. I thought I was somehow different from everyone else here.

But I wasn't. I began to feel better at one year, and now at two years, I considered myself pretty much healed. I still have a couple symptoms but so minor compared to how it was. It has been worth the struggle, believe me. I have realized that what I was told here was completely true: I WAS healing, even when I felt the worst. And so are you. At some point, you will start to feel it, and will be glad you went through this struggle.

I believe so, yes. I drank for years, I was on narcotics for pain for several years and stopped suddenly. In my 20's I abused illegal drugs. I was on AD's for 12 years, and of course, benzos for 30. And went cold turkey off ALL this stuff at one time or another. Yikes. There's no measurement to find out if youre kindled...its just a guess, by your history. I certainly fit the profile, don't I?

You doing okay, Godsgrace?
