Klonopin or Ativan first ????

I feel lost

 

Currently taking .90 ativan daily ( divided into .18mg 5 times a day using water titration )

 

Also taking daily total .30 Klonopin ( divided again water titration into 4 times daily )

 

Its time to reduce one ......both make me sick .....both make me paradoxal in their own ways.

 

I can't figure out do I cut to .80 ativan or to .25 Klonopin

 

What one to reduce and get rid of first ....... So confused brain will explode. I'm sick from them both yet also scared how to live without them...wtf mind fak

I would cut the Ativan first, as it has a short half life and you might get I/d w/d if there is no K in your system. Klonopin may be difficult to taper from, but so is Ativan. At least you'll have the cushion of a long acting benzo, as K has a half life between 30-40 hours. Good luck getting off one of the benzos you are on. Next you can tackle the K.

That's my nd Dr and moms suggestion. I'm in tolarence intra dose hell as it is. Ativan is horrible ..... I expect anxiety to go out of thus world even more as I get off it. Or some people say they felt better.

 

Stupid hospital addicted me to both... So angry.

 

If I get off the ativan I was thinking slowly down on the k by like .30 then .28 then .26 so forth is that normal? Is my .30 a lot? I'm scared and very sick

No. .3 mg is not a lot. It's pretty low in fact. You can taper off as slowly as you please. Some people actually jump from that dose.

Your Ativan dose is more significant than the Klonopin but I agree with the others that it makes sense to taper the Ativan first while the Klonopin (which is a low dose) hopefully helps keep you stabilized.

I must be very sensitive then because .0625 reductions on klonopin make me go insane with withdrawals. My CNS is fried.....I feel kindled ....I've been on this benzo crap for too many years. How does someone's brain and body recover from such abuse. I'm bed bound a lot....lost 25 pounds ... Have moments of mini seizures ....movement disorders ...hard to breath ....swallowing difficult ...muscle pain weakness..... Anxiety...panic ...adrenal surges and burnout the list goes on. Every e.r visit every blood draw and EKG say I'm technically normal ....even had cscans two and MRI .....yet I'm sick ..anorexic and weak.

 

I get a detox specialist acupuncturist help me 4 times a week who comes to my home and reiki.....

 

My mom makes me a balanced bleded food diet

 

I'm lucky in my support but my body is a wreck.

 

I want off at least one of these drugs ....14 months now on them both
