Could a change in schedule mean I feel a cut immediately

I know it must be psychological - but it is cut day and I'm already suffering. It may however be because I changed my schedule. On my GPs advice I was dosing 3x a day at 25mgs (10mgs in the morn, 5mgs after the school run and 10 at night).

Wanting to follow the Ashton protocol - I changed my cut times with this cut so that I now take only 2 doses 10mgs after morning runarounds (school run, occasional play group or appointment) and 12.5 at night. Hoping to keep them as close to 12 hours apart as possible.

Could this change in schedule have affected me instantly, as I know the cut itself should only kick in in a few days, or possibly in the quality of sleep I get tonight.

I also have hyperthyroidism (Graves disease) which means my metabolism is on overdrive (great when it comes to being able to pig out and still stay skinny) but perhaps not a friend for a valium taper.

Any advice would be warmly welcomed

Probably some psychological effect, but who knows with this stuff.  Valium's long half-life should make it unnecessary to take meds as often as you were taking them.  If you're nervous in general or regarding this taper, then changes to your dosing might well affect you.  Sometimes it doesn't matter if the affect is purely withdrawal-bassed or purely psychological or a mix of the two.  Regardless of the cause, you will find a way to cope/adjust and move on.  Hopefully, it settles down quickly.
