Hello,

 

I am new here. I was on clonopin for over 5 years, originally prescribed for anxiety. Am now almost 7 months out after a very rapid withdrawal in the hospital. Decided to join this group as a way of support for all the cognitive problems I continue to experience, and as a way to cope with my feelings toward the medical community.

Congrats on being benzodiazepine free. That is quite the accomplishment. I am sorry though that you are feeling badly. Sometimes it can take up to a year to heal when benzodiazepines are stopped to rapidly. As unpleasant as your symptoms are they are only temporary.

 

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.
