swimming and sauna

I haven't seen a thread about these. In my country we have a lot of saunas. Going to sauna is very normal, almost everybody goes. People usually find it relaxing, me too. Only people with heart problems should be careful. There had been times when I have had chest pain and sauna hasn't been comfortable either. But usually I enjoy it. I think it has a positive effect on sleep as it relaxes muscles.

By swimming I mean swimming in cold water, even when the lake/sea is frozen. I have done it several times during withdrawal. This autumn I have been swimming almost every day. When I started the water was almost summerly warm. Now it's almost as cold as it gets. After swimming my tinnitus is lightly worse for a while, but otherwise I feel great. I guess it's the adrenaline rush, both good and bad effects.

Is there anybody else who takes saunas and/or likes autumn/winter swimming in cool or cold waters?
