Nicotine Addiction Affecting Body's Response To Benzos

I broke a 26 year addiction to nicotine before starting Ativan.  I wonder if my previous addiction to nicotine made my body more vulnerable to benzo addiction.  Less required, shorter time taking required to have more severe withdrawals.  Wondering if anybody has any insight on this.  Just curious.

I think once you're done, you're done. I smoke and always have since college days and don't have any symptoms. fwiw, I only smoke 4 per day. For some reason, the taper makes me want to smoke less.  Bets
